​​Founded in 2012, Elk Meadow Designs has been handcrafting unique products that Celebrate Family for over 10 years.

​Elke Griffin and George Mitschele teamed up to create a Company focused on designing and producing innovative products that make people happy.
​
Inspired while shopping for ornaments for their Christmas tree, Elke and George set out to create an "Everyday Tree" designed to celebrate life throughout the year rather than for just a few short weeks over the Holidays. 

Together they created the Tapestree, a unique handcrafted copper display tree which was originally designed to hold ornaments, large hole beads, and charms that often hold sentimental value.

Over the course of development Elke discovered small photo frame charms that fit perfectly on the Tapestree and the Tapestree Family Tree was born. 

Soon after, we developed a proprietary software program that quickly and easily resizes any digital photo to fit the photo frames charms.  

The name Tapestree is inspired by, and is a play on the word, Tapestry - which is a large fabric display that often tells a story of a significant event.

What is more significate in life than family?  

While our flagship product, the Tapestree Family Tree, is the only product available online, you can see our other products when you visit us in person at an art and craft show near you.

Return Policy

​We stand behind our products.

If your Tapestree is damaged during shipment please take pictures of the outer box and the tree and email them with your name and order number to elkmeadowdesigns@gmail.com and we will replace your Tapestree immediately at no cost to you.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase you can return it to us within 30 days using the shipping box you received it in. Once we receive your return in the same condition as when we shipped it we will refund your purchase price.
